SALUTING THE SOLDIERS - 1971 WAR VIJAY DIWAS
BOWING BEFORE THE BRAVERY
"Either I will come back after hoisting the flag or I will come back wrapped in it"
Captain Vikram Batra
"I won't die in accident or die of disease ,I will go down in glory"
Major Sudhir Kumar Walia (Ashoka chakra)
These words of our soldiers is the strongest resource that India , as a nation have. The belief in the people of India to sleep peacefully at our homes while Indian army is guarding the frontiers is inculcated by a series of wars truly reflecting their nationalism , valour and more over their spirit to live and die for their own country . From Indo-Pak war(1947-48),Congo(1961) ,Indo- China war(1962),Indo-Pak war of 1965 and 1971, Siachen(1987) , Operation Pawan (1987-90), Kargil war1999..
to the lives of 20 Indian soldiers killed in a clash with Chineese troops in Eastern Ladakh portraits thesame . Indians are always indebted to the the soldiers for their sacrifices .There are a lot of protests going on for the assurance of fundamental rights in our society , but for us they who value their duties than their rights is truly a lesson .
The role of soldiers of Indian army in securing the integrity and sovereignty of our country is worth mentioning . In the month of December the whole Indians have a pride moment to reverently bow before our heroes that is 1971 war Vijay Diwas. December16 is a significant day for India and its neighbours Bangladesh and Pakistan. In 1971 , India won the war against Pakistan that resulted in the birth of Bangladesh(then East Pakistan). That success is the result of 3000 Indian lives and about 12,000 ones wounded. Even the family of a Jawan , is proud of their contribution to the mother India, their sacrifices are ceaseless .But as an Indian are we a success in respecting them ?, we have to think of ex-military officials, about wounded Jawans. The awards for a few regarded as the Bravest of Brave is not enough .Prime Minister laying flower wreath at the Amar Jawan Jyothi at the India gate is not enough .
It is shameful to witness the recent flow of Indians to join ISIS. We shall never forget the invincible spirit and valour of Indian heroes who sacrificed lives for the national security .
Saluting the soldiers of Indian army,
SANDRA SARA BINOY
